Our Company
Hard Rock Geotechnical was established in 1994 by Matthew Buckle, who started the business as a sole trader. Matthew discovered his passion for Geotechnical Engineering after completing his Bachelor of Science (Geology) in 1984, then later a Bachelor of Engineering (Geotechnical) with Honours in 1995.
While Hard Rock Geotechnical has grown since opening, we have chosen to remain a small business to preserve a more personal and client-focused position. Our five experienced Geotechnical Engineers collectively have 83 years of experience in our field, and work closely with field support and administration personnel.
As a team who shares Matthew’s enthusiasm for Geotechnical Engineering, we enjoy what we do and take pride in the service we provide. This sees us striving to always ensure our clients have a positive experience with us.
